His PhD focuses on culturally adapting mental health care within UK general practice for patients from Central and Eastern Europe [CLARENCE - https://www.keele.ac.uk/globalhealth/research/clarence].
As part of CHaI, Aaron is keen to explore how primary care in the UK and beyond can provide equitable and high quality physical and mental health care for people with a background of migration in the UK, particularly those originally from Central or Eastern Europe. This includes considering what constitutes cultural competency within healthcare and how this can be effectively navigated within resource limited healthcare systems to bridge diverse health expectations.
Aaron has a goal to visit all the countries in Europe - he’s still got a few left to go!
