This short excerpt from a graphic novel uses the stories and experiences of people with dementia to connect with younger audiences, highlighting the challenges of living with a diagnosis.

Kristian Feyisetan offered his artistic skills and provided input from a young adult’s perspective to produce the work inspired by the stories told by the INTERACT Older adult PPIE group in discussions and interviews. Their words were adapted by researcher, Sam Holmans Thompson.

The artwork featured in the INTERACT exhibition at The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge in Canterbury throughout January and February 2025.
