I am a Brazilian researcher and master's student in the Graduate Program in Language and Culture at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). I work on projects that articulate arts, community engagement, and territory, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary practices connecting the humanities, health, and artistic creation.
I hold a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature and develop investigations at the intersection of language, territory, and interculturality. My research interests include language policies in quilombola contexts, intercultural educational practices, and the connection between culture, language, and ways of living. I seek to understand how language teaching can become a space of encounter between different forms of knowledge and of community strengthening. In parallel, I carry out academic and artistic productions that explore the connections between body and territory.
I worked as an Artist and Research Assistant on the ECLIPSE project, a multicentric research initiative aimed at promoting the health of people affected by Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in endemic communities. I was also an Engagement Officer in the SASA (South America, Southeast Asia) project, dedicated to dialogue on equitable partnerships. And now I am a Research Assistant at the NIHR Global Health Research Group on Racism and Social Inequalities in Mental Health in Brazil (ORI).
I am interested in collaborative methodologies and in artistic practices as devices of care and memory, which create sensitive modes of listening, research, and elaboration of lived and shared experiences. I am excited to be part of the CHal community and look forward to building meaningful connections with new partners.
