Joseph is a dedicated researcher interested in the social, cultural, and historical dimensions of health and illness. With a background in the History of Medicine, he is passionate about the historical roots of societal perceptions, medical stigmas, and the ways these have shaped healthcare practices and cultural attitudes toward illness. He holds a master's degree in the History of Medicine, and is now pursuing a PhD at the Centre for the History of Medicine at the University of Warwick, expanding on his work on student health in Britain in the twentieth century. Joseph served as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Health Service Studies at the University of Kent. Whilst there he conducted qualitative research to engage underserved communities in Kent with mental health studies, with a focus on severe mental illness.
